New in winter 2011/12: The snow park Dachstein West below the Edtalmbahn has been redesigned by a freestyle expert team and offers you a lot of new "obstacles". The extended carpark next to the Hornbahn Russbach bottom station offers more space and comfort. The beginner´s slope "Hornbabylift" is being prepared with artificial snow and provides a gentle introduction into winter sports to beginners.

In the area of the Kopfbergbahn, a speed measurement facility awaits speedy skiers who like to speed down the hill. To our knowledge, the current route record is 88km/h - can you beat that?

The youngsters freestyle park in Astauwinkel provides the rookies amongst you with diverse jumps, rails and hills -there are countless options for practising. This is the preferred spot of many freestylers, too.

Rodeo Mogul Slope
On the Rodeo Mogul Slope close to the Rottenhof Hut, you'll feel as though you are sitting on a wild horse - and hopefully not unseated from the rodeo piste.

Free Fall
This training route near the Rottenhof Hut is only for the courageous. The Free Fall is the piste which no half way normal person would use. Well then, we are waiting for the abnormal...

Annaberg-Lungötz is an insider tip for your family-friendly winter holiday at 850 metres altitude. Admittedly, there are certainly more well-known winter sport towns in Salzburg – but finding a prettier ski centre than Annaberg in the Dachstein West area is certainly a bit trickier!
Its own motorway exit (turn-off marked just after Salzburg, no tunnel fee necessary!), means getting here is easy and nearby Salzburg, Mozart city, provides any amount of activities away from the skiing fun.
