Kitzsteinhorn: 3000 m above it all ...

The Kitzsteinhorn is an absolute „must“ for all those who love wild, romantic, 3000m high mountains and wish to swing over crystal clear powder snow whilst letting their eyes wonder over sheer, endless peaks. Mountain enthusiasts romp over the Kitzsteinhorn glacier the whole year round.

One can enjoy perfect powder snow in Autumn, sparkling firn slopes all through Spring and, in between, a magnificent white Winter with absolutely guaranteed natural snow cover. The unique diversity of Salzburg´s only glacier ski area within the alpine region of the Hohe Tauern, is just amazing: 20 totally modern cable cars and lifts reach up to 3029m. The slopes are extremely varied and offer everything from enjoyment on wide glacier pistes to conquering fast, steep runs.

Kitzsteinhorn Mellow Park: 3 snow parks at the top! The Glacier Park, the DC Central Park and the Roxy Park provide fantastic free-ride slopes, for beginners and pro-riders alike, at an altitude between 2.500m and 2.900m. There are more than 70 obstacles altogether, varied easy, medium and pro kicker & rail lines with hips, corners, quarterpipes and a super-pipe, which is the newest addition to the Kitzsteinhorn freestyle set-up. All this is supplemented with world class events.

A wonder world made of ice and snow will be build again at the Kitzsteinhorn - the Volvo XC ICE CAMP. The igloos host an ice-bar and an ice-lounge to chill, a showroom for the new Volvo XC60 and a large outdoor area for sportive experiences, adventures and relaxation – all build in an ice-clear design in the middle of the breathtaking high alpine world and in a relaxing atmosphere with finest music.

In summer, the coolest mountain in Salzburg, has a very special offer: an ICE ARENA on the 3000m glacier plateau with igloos, snow beach, palm trees and slides for Summer fun in glacier snow! The Kitzsteinhorn is also perfect for wandering and is the highest mountain in Salzburg for taking in amazing views of other 3000m mountains, which seem close enough to touch.
