The high valley of Sulden, a branch of the sunny Vinschgau, is imbedded beautifully in the mighty Ortler mountain formation. In the centre of the Stilfserjoch-national park, you’ll come across an original historical and cultural treasure in which time seems to have stopped. The Ortler (3905 m) and the Königsspitze (3870 m) massively and lordly reign the dozily village in silence.

For two centuries, Sulden at summertime has been a holiday destination of many excursionists, hikers and alpinists. After the snow has melted at the beginning of June, the high valley awakens to new life in an unrivalled blaze of colour. Until the middle of October there is a lively goings-on.

But not only extreme climbing tours lead you the way! There are also high hiking trails with a great view that are worth walking.
