Enjoy Sorvajärvi's new nature trail by mountain biking, walking or even trail running. The trail, which was completed in late summer 2021, is a gravel mountain bike trail, but is also ideal for other types of exercise. The trail has been especially made for novice mountain bikers and children.
The path undulates and winds through a thinned, marshy forest. Along the varied route you will find hills, duckboards, fast bends and jumps that make the route particularly interesting. If they so wish, novice bikers can avoid the more challenging parts.
The Sorvajärvi nature trail is designed as an outdoor exercise area for the whole family and is well signposted. Along the route are resting points with lean-to’s and campfire spots. The total length of the trail is about 3 kilometres. The recommended direction for riding the trail is anticlockwise.

In winter, the trail is maintained with the limited input of volunteers
In order to ensure that the trail is kept in good condition for everyone, please observe the following instructions:
â¯
Don't follow the trail if you start sinking!
If your shoes or tyres sink by more than 2cm into the trail surface, the trail is not yet hard enough to use. If the trail is used when it is soft, it will leave deep ruts and become very difficult for all users to negotiate when it hardens. Use tyres that are at least 3.8 inches wide with low tyre pressures. If you start sinking into the trail, reduce your tyre pressures. In soft conditions, a fatbike runs best at 0.2-0.5 bar of pressure, so energy is not used in unnecessarily breaking the surface of the trail.
Allow the trail to harden after it has been levelled.
A winter trail can rarely be used immediately after being levelled and needs to be left at least overnight in order to harden.
