We cross the former SS 232 to take a pleasant carriageway that crosses the countryside, towards the church of San Vincenzo, which we can see in the distance. Once past the church, we turn left towards a farmhouse that must be skirted to reach the bank of the Cervo stream. When we reach a provincial road, we cross the stream to go up the opposite bank towards the centre of Castelletto Cervo. We leave the provincial road to descend towards the Ostola stream, of which we follow its course through a suggestive area of small lakes, before returning towards the SP313. We leave the provincial road near the road sign at the entrance of Cossato, along an asphalt road that leads to the now abandoned Lessona furnace. We turn left on a track that enters the woods northwards, continuing until the crossroads with the Biella-Laghi state road. When we reach the SP230, we leave it for a cartroad on the left, which enters a thick wood. A nice hilly stretch leads to the characteristic village of Masserano, which we cross to skirt the church of San Teonesto. We go down to the Ostola stream and cross it to go up the opposite side towards Rongio Superiore, from where we go down towards Rongio Camillo. After crossing the Bisingana stream we cover a stretch of the SP 234, before climbing up to the left towards the hamlet of Forte di Brusnengo.
