Departing from the hamlet of Vonzo, you take the ascent on path no. 325 to the Chiappili huts, coming to the dirt road in the final stretch. Going on, you go up in the Vassola valley, leaving the wooded area behind you and coming across the rural road once more for a stretch on path no. 324. Near the Vassola di Sotto alpine pasture (1624 m) the terrain becomes exclusively a hiking trail and encounters some characteristic alpine pastures (Balmot 1889 m and Rossa di Sotto 2093 m). It reaches a small plateau where there are the remains of Vailet alpine pasture (2233 m) where it is possible to stop and divide the stage into two days using a recently set-up bivouac. The itinerary continues westwards going up to the Seone lakes (2520 m) and shortly afterwards, crossing the Colle della Terra d'Unghiasse (2666 m), it passes in sequence the series of Unghiasse lakes (2492 m), Gran Lago di Unghiasse (the largest natural lake in the Lanzo Valleys, 2490 m) and the Fert lakes (2560 m). At the latter, the itinerary turns decisively southwest and then ends the connection with the AVC itinerary, which continues westwards to pass over the hillside of Ceresole Reale. You then continue downhill until finding path no. 323 near Lake Lajetto with the homonymous alpine pasture (2298 m) and again, decisively downhill, in the deep Unghiasse valley to reach the characteristic Pian delle Riane (1790 m). You shortly approach Bec di Mea, a famous climbing wall of the Val Grande, where the first part of the Sentiero Balcone (balcony path), track no. 322 firstly leads to the hamlet of Alboni (1384 m), then just downstream to the hamlet of Rivotti (1370 m) and finally to that of Pialpetta (1070 m) where there is the GTA stop-off point, including other accommodation facilities and services for tourists.

The gran Lago di Unghiasse (the largest natural lake in the Valli di Lanzo), the Bec di Mea (famous rock climbing wall in Val Grande).
